Although we offer a wide range of models under the SMTS brand, we offer a model service to a broad range of clients; there’s virtually no limit to what can be made.

SMTS is, first and foremost, a model engineering company.

Under the SMTS brand name, we create and market a wide array of 1:43 White Metal replicas of iconic road and race cars, but the majority of our work is in commissions for other companies, institutions and individuals.

In recent years, we have become a significant maker of civilian, military and commercial

In recent years, we have become a significant maker of civilian, military and commercial aircraft, all of which we produce for other compaines to sell under their own brands.

Many of these undertakings are ‘white label’ in nature whereby the pieces are created on a confidential basis and SMTS’s involvement remains unknown.

In most instances, the pieces are then marketed under the client’s own brand, but we also undertake limited runs of models for car clubs, manufacturers, corporate events and special presentations.

Given the diversity of knowledge, experience and skills we have here at SMTS, there are few subjects that we do not feel qualified to work on.

In the past we have modelled aeroplanes, motorcycles, industrial plant equipment, agricultural machinery, miniature engines, space vehicles, boats, even dinosaur skulls!

If an item can be manufactured, we can model it in any scale the client chooses; from 1:4 scale to 1:200.

And whilst a detailed brief and accurate references are always of help, we can undertake the necessary research, create drawings, make moulds, produce patterns and castings for any subject.

There is no upper or lower limit in terms of the quantity that needs to be produced.

Nor is there a limit to the level of quality that can be achieved. We can create special colours, or match existing ones, and apply any decaling or extra detail that is required by the client.
